Our Home Israel party, led by Avigdor Lieberman, was founded in 1999. From the very beginning, the party upheld Zionist-liberal views, which were reflected in the writings of Benjamin Zeev Herzl, Zeev Jabotinsky and served as the basis for Israel's Declaration of Independence. Over the years, despite the fact that fashion, discourse and political factors around it have changed, the party maintains these principles and puts them at the forefront of its activities. This happens both in leadership positions in the government and in the opposition, and regardless of whether the NDI's positions enjoy broad support or the party has to fight for them. Our home Israel sees itself as an alternative to power and will strive to create a broad government coalition that will unite right-wing and centrist parties and will be free from ultra-Orthodox diktat.

All components of the NDI program are related and complementary. In defining the future of the State of Israel, we adhere to a broad concept that provides solutions to the problems and aspirations of every citizen of the country. Our vision touches on the main issues of the existence of Israeli society, such as security, economy, relations between religion and state, form of government, education, welfare, aliyah and integration, and many other aspects, which are presented here in twelve different chapters.
